Dear Reader of this blog,
First of all a big Thank You for reading!
Secondly, since I changed the theme, the comment box has disappeared from the bottom of each post. However, it is still possible to comment using the speech button that is at the top right of the screen.
(At least I think that’s how you do it!)
It would be good if some of you out there could let me know if this works. I really like getting comments (and likes) – it’s an important part of blogging I think.
Thanks again.
Angharad
Found the comment button at the bottom left of your email. Love getting your emails. Enjoy your articles.

I don’t have a speech bubble at top right but I do have a comment box at the bottom of the screen. Don’t suppose that helps, really, but it’s interesting, maybe a difference between PC and tablet screen display?

Thank you. I should probably look on a tablet too

Hi Angharad
The comment button appeared at the bottom of your message and that is what I clicked. Hope this gets to you.

Angharad,
I can comment. I saw “Leave a reply” below your post and I could comment.
I am logged in at wordpress.com in the moment
let’s check if it is possible to comment being not logged in at wordpress.com

Thanks Connie. It’s a bit of a mystery.

Angharad, commenting is enabled.
It is enabled on the singe-post-view, like this actual page, https://knittinggloves.wordpress.com/2016/02/16/comments/
You don’t see a commenting box when you are at the start site of your blog, that page only shows excerpts

I would like to be able for people to leave a comment at the end of every post.

It seems that users must be logged in at wordpress.com when they want to comment.
I am sure this can be changed so that all users can comment. Check “Settings => Discussion”

I have a WordPress account and still get a comment box at the bottom of your post. I’ve been afraid to change my theme because I don’t know how it will change things. And then there are the times that WordPress changes things for me. Thank goodness there is knitting to get me through it all.

I’m a new reader of your blog, having discovered it while reading about you at the CYCA Sanquhar exhibit. There’s no ‘speech’ button at the top right of your blog for me, but there is the standard ‘Leave a Reply’ box at the bottom, right under the link to your previous post about the Estonian Craft Camp. Ohhhh, that sounds so Very Very Tempting!
